Ramtech is once again set to submit multiple modular building entries into this year’s Awards of Distinction program at the annual Modular Building Institute World of Modular convention and trade show being held at the JW Marriott Hill Country Resort March 21-24 in San Antonio, Texas. Ramtech will look to add to our 18 previous Awards of Distinction winners by entering two modular construction projects in the Relocatable Modular Category where we have had a lot of previous success. Last year we won first place in the Education Over 10,000 sq. ft. category with the modular school campus we built for charter school operator KIPP Delta Public Schools in Blytheville, Arkansas. Ramtech is pleased to announce that Randy Van Zandt has been promoted to the position of Vice President of Construction. In his new role, Randy will be in charge of managing the day-to-day modular construction operations, all in-house construction personnel, and subcontractor relationships. He will also be responsible for developing the construction department budgets, and will work closely with our sales and estimating departments to insure that our client needs and expectations are being met. Financial instruments known as Time Warrants have been available to Texas public schools since 1995, however their flexibility for use in construction projects was limited due to their $500,000 maximum loan amounts and terms that were restricted to no more than five years. Now that’s all changed, thanks to the efforts of Southlake, Texas-based Government Capital Corporation and the Texas Rural Education Association. (more…)
Ramtech has released a new video that highlights the recently completed modular construction of the instructional and support facilities for the West (TX) ISD’s replacement middle and high school campus. Narrated by Dr. Marty Crawford, the District’s superintendent of schools, the video highlights the modular school buildings that are located on the West Middle School site which was destroyed by the massive fertilizer plant explosion on April 17 of last year.
