At the end of November Ramtech was able to photograph the completed permanent modular building we manufactured and installed this year for the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport terminal expansion project in Panama City Beach, Florida. The airport took delivery on a new jet bridge that was installed in November, which officially completed the 7,168 square foot building addition that increases the available passenger capacity and seating areas for the two gates that serve the airport’s regional jet operators. Ramtech’s video segment for the syndicated program Inside The Blueprint Local Edition ran twice during November on KDFI Channel 27 in Dallas-Fort Worth. Produced by Florida-based BrandStar Entertainment, the four-minute segment on Ramtech was the intro to the 30-minute program which featured five Metroplex firms, all innovators in construction, engineering waterworks, insulation materials, and HVAC products. As the commercial modular building industry continues to grow and evolve, so too have the number of privately held companies who have seen their founders turn the reins over to the next generation of leaders. In many of these companies, it’s now the sons and daughters who are stepping up to take over. This is the case with several firms including Ramtech where Matt Slataper became President on January 1st of this year. Although Mike Slataper remains the CEO of Ramtech, Matt took over the day to day operations from Linc Moss who will take retirement at the end of the year. (more…)

Last Month, Ramtech’s Vice President of Engineering Roland Brown, was notified that he was reappointed as the Presiding Officer of the Texas Industrialized Building Code Council. Since the council was formed in 1984, Roland has been the only representative from the commercial modular building industry to hold the presiding officer position. He was reelected unanimously by the other ten members on the council, which functions as an advisory board for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on issues related to the regulation of the industrialized housing and commercial building industries.
