Ramtech will once again be entering two modular building entries into this year’s Awards of Distinction program at the Modular Building Institute’s World of Modular convention and trade show being held at the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa March 17-20 in Tucson, Arizona.
Ramtech will look to build on last year’s win for the University Of Texas Dallas teaching labs project by entering modular construction projects in both the Relocatable Modular and Permanent Modular categories in this year’s competition. The 31,752 square foot Dallas Transitional Center residential reintegration facility that we built for Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) has been entered in the Permanent Institutional or Assembly Category, while the temporary modular school campus completed for Deweyville Independent School District was placed in the Relocatable Education category. Ramtech will also be entering in the Marketing Multimedia category, our recently completed time-lapse video of the CCA project that visually demonstrates the Floorless Permanent Modular Construction process.
This year’s World of Modular conference will be held for the first time in Tucson and promises to be largest conference in the modular building industry’s 31 year history. Capping off the convention every year is the annual awards reception and banquet. The highlight of this event is always MBI’s Awards of Distinction competition for building excellence, covering several market categories for both relocatable and permanent building applications. The awards are judged by an independent panel of building design and construction experts on architectural excellence, technical innovation & sustainability, cost effectiveness, and energy efficiency. Ramtech representative’s Roland Brown, Jeff Ward, and Gary Davenport will all be attending this year’s conference.
