With our GSA contract now in hand, Ramtech has now become eligible to provide the same modular construction products through the Texas Procurement and Support Services (TPASS) Texas Multiple Award Schedule (TXMAS) state purchasing program.
Beginning this month, all of our GSA Schedule 56 offerings including standard floor plans for education, medical, and commercial modular buildings will be advertised and available to Texas state agencies by contacting us.
Ramtech will be listing our products using the same four Special Item Number (SIN) classifications as the GSA Schedule for our standard one, two, and four doctor modular clinics, toilet trailer facilities, portable classrooms, and administrative office complex designs.
The TPASS has established an alternative purchasing method through the use of TXMAS contracts that have been developed from similar contracts awarded by the federal government or any other governmental entity of another state. Like the GSA Schedules program, TXMAS has a large variety of products at pre-negotiated or “most favored customer” (MFC) pricing, available from select government-approved companies. Government contracting officers determine whether prices are fair and reasonable by completing a comparison of price and non-price factors that a company offers the government with those that are offered to commercial customers. Government buyers are then able to make purchases knowing that the GSA has managed the entire process and all the associated legal obligations that go with it.
TXMAS contracts take advantage of this MFC pricing and under certain circumstances, an agency or local government entity may negotiate a lower price for the goods or services offered on a schedule contract. Then, a “best value” purchase can be made by following the normal TXMAS purchasing procedures.
