Ramtech has received approval on a design-build agreement with the Ferris (TX) ISD school board to proceed with providing preconstruction services for a 13,440 square foot middle school classroom building. The 12 classroom facility, including one fully equipped science lab, would be built using Ramtech’s traditional wood-framed permanent modular construction approach.
Ramtech would also be responsible for all site work and the extension and connection of the utilities. Current plans call for a full masonry exterior and roof mounted HVAC units. Site work and manufacturing of the modular buildings would begin in March, with the project scheduled to be complete prior to the start of the 2015-2016 school year.
Located south of Dallas in Ferris, Texas, the Ferris ISD serves students from the city of Ferris as well as the community of Trumbull and other rural areas in northeastern Ellis County. The proposed project would allow the district to consolidate some facilities by moving students into the new modular school building.
