About the position
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and guidance for all design department activities, and manage the work flow of in-house drafting team
- Designer of record for all architectural design elements, providing architectural code and drawing reviews, and stamping outgoing design packages
- Direct customer interface during sales and project programming processes
- Work in the development of new building design concepts to create new building systems to grow market share
- Provide input to the estimating and sales departments as required to development designs to meet the customers’ needs, and to create design concepts for pricing
- Interface/coordinate with customer, third party, local and state regulatory agencies as required to resolve code issues
- Review plans of in-house designs to assure document quality and consistency
- Work with outside design consultants when required
- Interface directly with city / state permitting authorities as needed
- Where required, be involved in the development of ICC issues that relate to the modular industry
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in architecture preferred
- 5+ years of experience in construction and architecture
- Strong organizational, creative and presentation skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
- Texas License and NCARB Certified required
- TAS trained, but not a certified accessibility specialist
- Knowledge of or experience with Texas Industrialized Housing and Building Program (which governs commercial modular buildings) a plus
- Must be willing to work in a fast-paced organization and willing to constructively lead in a team environment
- Good communication skills are required along with a proficiency for multitasking
Primary Responsibilities
- Inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing trailer frame systems used for transporting over-sized loads
- Performing preventative maintenance measures on carrier frames
- Inspecting, servicing and replacing repair parts
- Checking and inspecting brakes
- Testing all systems and equipment for performance issues
- Ensuring all carrier frames meet DOT safety requirements as directed by the maintenance supervisor
- Documenting Quality Control and maintenance activities and repairs, and reporting all findings to management
Requirements
- Prior experience, preferably in manufacturing environment
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Experience using an oxygen/acetylene cutting torch, and ability to Arc weld using portable welders
- Competence in welding a continuous bead with no holes, spatter or cracks
- Ability to operate welding equipment in vertical, horizontal and overhead positions
- Knowledge of welding rods and ability to select the correct rod for the job
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
- Prefer one to three years related welding experience. Certification beneficial but not required
- Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance
- Must be available and willing to work overtime hours as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs
